GRiZ - YOU GOT TO CHANGE

Did you guys miss me?  The Gutman, here bringing more fresh beatz for ya feetz!  Today I got a track from Grant Kwiencinski a.k.a GRiZ, a 21 year old producer/performer out of good old Motor City.  GRiZ, a self described "people hugger", makes some great funk influenced tunes, which is why I'm talkin' about him in the first place.  His track "You Got to Change" is built on three simple things that combine into something more than the sum of their individual pieces.  First you have a stunningly simple drum line/bass line combo that just makes you move your head to the rhythm.  Second, a sampled guitar line from some where during the 60's to give the track a hot summer day vibe.  Third, a vocal sample from Santana's "Evil Ways" which is were the track title comes from.  It is these three things that give this track such an awesome energy!  GRiZ fills the rest of the track out with some awesome FCKIN brass lines, a laid back piano/synth line, and some simple vocal samples that also feel lifted from the 60's further fleshing out that summer strip movie montage vibe.  Scroll down and check it the FCK out.

As always make sure to swing by GRiZ's Facebook and show the love!
