KEN3TIC - Whats good everyone! My names Kenny Martin. Im a 20 Year old producer and DJ out of New York. I love to rage! I DJ all types of EDM but there's no limit to what I can do. I get the crowd #TurntUp! Every transition just makes you rage harder! If you love EDM or just love going to raves, Im the guy you want playing for you! I leave face puddles on the floor. . we'll just leave it at that. #KEN3TIC #RUNZTRAP
FY! - What made you choose the name KEN3TIC?
K - I really started getting into DJing last spring, started off on a Mixtrack Pro then quickly progressed from there with some help from Local 518 DJ's Rome Thrasher and Hazeyy. . Once I felt good enough to play some local shows, it was time to think of a name for myself. So me an my boys Rome, Hazeyy and Swaygo sat down in the cave an tried to figure it out. lol And what we came up with was KEN3TIC. Now if you look up Kinetic Energy on Google, the definition is. . Energy a body possesses by virtue of being in Motion. So we switched it up and made it KEN3TIC as in im the one keeping your body in motion, because you cant stop dancing during my sets! #ShuffleCity #CaveLife
FY! - How do you prepare for an act?
K - It all depends on the show for me, usually what I like to do is just freestyle a mix an record it. From there ill add and remove songs I think would fit better for my set and for the show. I practice it till it's perfect, then spin it live and go crazy with my fans. But if the crowds not feeling the set I put together, then ill just switch it up an freestyle, so no matter what I'm always gonna mix whatever the crowd is vibin to that night. I do this for my fans, so I'm gonna make sure everyones buggin and bumpin with me haha
FY! - McDonald's or Burger King?
K - Hmmm, Mcdonalds has the best fries an the mcgangbang but Burger King has better food. . and Sprite. KEN3TIC lovesss Sprite, leggoo BK hahaa
FY! - What was the first album you ever owned?
K - I honestly couldnt even tell you, I've had so many throughout my life. Prolly an album by Eminem, used to be a big fan of his as an adolescent.
FY! - Who is your favorite producer out there now? Why?
K - Ohh mannnn! Puttin me on the spot over here hahaa To be honest with you theres so many great producers out there so it's hard for me to pick just one. But here's some of the artist's I hope to work with in the near future; DJ Sliink, Baauer, Flosstradamous, Dj Carnage, gLAdiator, ETC! ETC!, Bro Safari, TNGHT, R3HAB, Dada Life, Luminox, Dillon Francis, BARE, Major Lazer, Laidback Luke, Designer Drugs, Steve Aoki, Porter Robinson, Figure, Kill The Noise, Hardwell, Dj Alvaro, LAZERBASS, CRNKN, SHM, 12th Planet, RL Grime. . I could go on forever!
FY! - What’s your idea of relaxing? What do you do when you need to unplug?
K - Chillin' out with my boys and my girlfriend Jessica. Mixing and music is pretty much my relaxation. After I get done working for the day all I wanna hear is a Baauer mix and lay in bed or have some drinks with the Boys lol
FY! - If President Obama listened to EDM what genre do you think he'd listen to?
K - Obama's a G, So if I had to say. . he'd prolly RUN DA TRAPPP lmaooo
FY! - Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
K - Hopefully playing at a venue such as Tomorrowland, Ultra Fest or Coachella with my favorite artists. Most importantly to get signed and to be living out my dream I push so hard for. I got a great group of guys from U IS NATION sponsoring me and also booking me for some crazy venues, so I expect big things to come for me in the near future for sure.
